Our buildings are in good shape now. The Wheeler Wheelwright and Blacksmith Shop is restored–just waiting for a power-wash and stain! Our next project for this building is to restore/protect the unique tools displayed inside. If you are interested in helping with this project, please let us know (wthsmi@gmail.com). Podunk School and the Old Town Hall now have working furnaces and encapsulated crawl spaces with commercial dehumidifiers installed to prevent humidity/water damage. The powder post beetle invasion was treated and hopefully will disappear. The Kleinschmidt General Store also has a new commercial dehumidifier installed to protect our Historic Webster Archives. The sticky sliding doors on Dieterle’s Corncrib were adjusted for easier access, but we are still working on preventing birds from getting inside. Crossroads Community Center has a new sump pump system and a new thermostat, so it just awaits a time when people once again will rent the space for their special party, shower, class, or other event. Think of this wonderful building for your next event.

Our Historic Webster Village is a great place to wander, contemplate, and plan for what is to come while enjoying reminders of our historic roots.
