SUMMARY:Buy a Brick
DESCRIPTION:A lovely brick path runs through May’s Memorial Garden and was installed in 2022.  It contains 69 bricks with commemorative messages presented by residents to the Webster community.  Only one small area remains in Historic Webster Village for which you can purchase a commemorative 4″ x 8″ brick––at the base of the steps leading to the Old Town Hall porch.  Each brick may contain up to 3 lines of text\, each line with 20 characters (letters\, numbers\, spaces\, punctuation).  WTHS plans to have these bricks installed in early to mid 2024. SUMMARY:Christmas in the Village
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a tree-lighting at 5:15 PM next to the Dieterle Corncrib. Then spend an evening strolling the Historic Webster Village by lantern light\, accompanied by the music of the Arbor Consort*\, who will be dressed in period costumes and singing carols. Experience our historic buildings\, each with a different Christmas tree\, greenery and candles inside to bring alive the spirit of Christmas past. Children will enjoy the reading of The Night Before Christmas in Podunk School. Stop in at the Old Town Hall for a visit with Santa. Drop by the Kleinschmidt General Store to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies and search our gift shop for a special toy or gift to take home. Wander outside to enjoy the warming fire.  This evening of the sights and sounds of Christmas will enchant both young and old. Make this event at the Historic Webster Village a new family tradition. \n\nSuggested Donation: $10/person. Under 12 free. \nNo advance reservations or tickets required. \nThe Kleinschmidt General Store\, Podunk School\, and the Old Town Hall are heated. \n\n*Under musical director Sarah Jane Rau\, The Arbor Consort (TAC) is a non-profit vocal ensemble based in Ann Arbor\, dedicated to the performance of a cappella Renaissance and Christmas music.  They have been the featured madrigal singing group at the Michigan Renaissance Festival since 1982.  During the holiday season\, TAC performs as costumed carolers for private parties and public events throughout Southeast Michigan.
