DESCRIPTION:Join us on the first Saturday in June for our 5th Annual Webster Village Flea and Craft Market. We will showcase a wonderful selection of vendor booths around the paved village walkway. The Market will be open from 10-4. \nThis year\, the “American Founding Documents” exhibit will be on display in the village for guests to enjoy. This exhibit is a county-wide initiative to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. \n \nAll of our historic buildings will be open during the market. The village smithy will be demonstrating in the Blacksmith Shop. We will also be holding a rummage sale; all proceeds will benefit the Historical Society. \nPizza\, pastries\, snacks\, water and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the concession stand. DESCRIPTION:WTHS is excited to host the “American Founding Documents” traveling exhibit on June 6. Created by the Washtenaw County Historical Consortium\, the exhibit is a county-wide initiative to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. This unique traveling exhibit will introduce the five seminal documents that shaped the nation’s history\, bringing these critical historical insights directly to residents across Washtenaw County. \n\nWhat: The “American Founding Documents” exhibit.\nWho: Presented by the Washtenaw County Historical Consortium.\nWhen:  June 6th during the Flea and Craft Market\, 10 am – 4 pm\nWhere: Historic Webster Village\nCost: Admission is free\n\nThe “American Founding Documents” exhibit was made possible by an America250MI History Grant awarded to the Salem Area Historical Society on behalf of the Consortium. The exhibit aims to educate and inspire the community to engage in the preservation and presentation of local and national history\, highlighting the enduring relevance of documents including the Declaration of Independence\, the Federalist Papers\, the Bill of Rights\, the Northwest Ordinances and the U.S. Constitution. We will gather at Dieterle Corncrib to meet briefly and count the election ballots. Election results will be shared and the new officers and directors will begin their terms at the end of the meeting. WTHS will provide grilled hotdogs\, soft drinks\, ice cream treats and tableware. Please bring a dish to pass. \nMembers will also have the opportunity to view the America250 Founding Documents Exhibit on display in the village.
