About Us

Located just north of Farrell Road in the 5500 block of Webster Church Road outside of Dexter, MI, the buildings and grounds on the almost 4-acre parcel of land are part of the Historic Webster Village. These seven buildings and the grounds that surround them are owned and maintained by the Webster Township Historical Society (WTHS).

May Mast’s Barn is acquiring more artifacts as our farming museum, including a section that showcases the work of women in the past. This adds another dimension to our Village that includes the township’s Old Town Hall; Podunk School, a one-room schoolhouse; the 1840s Wheeler Wheelwright & Blacksmith Shop with a working forge; the Dieterle Corncrib with its performance stage; the replica Kleinschmidt General Store; and the Crossroads Community Center, a favorite meeting and event destination. We hope you will visit us soon!

The Webster Historic Archives (HWA) are managed by Eric Albert for WTHS. Artifacts donated to the Society become part of the HWA and are displayed in our buildings. Documents, photos, records, and other items are stored in our files. We are working on a photographic and digital inventory of these archives.
