We applied to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation for a 3-year implementation grant, “Creating Community Connections and Spaces,” to further develop our Village and open it to the Webster community. We were awarded $60,000 for Year 1 during which we will install a concrete walking path connecting all our village buildings, except Crossroads Community Center which is located beyond the scope of this project.
The entire walking path will cost $94,550 to complete. Grant contributions total $47,500 to date. WTHS committed to providing $25,000 toward the path, bringing the total funds to $72,500. The remaining $22,050 need to be raised by the end of May to allow the walking path to be completed by the Webster Fall Festival in September.
